The Ökofilmtour celebrates its 20th edition in 2025. This year, the festival is presenting 69 films (11 feature-length films, 47 medium-length films and 11 short films) throughout Brandenburg. The festival will be touring the state of Brandenburg until April 2025. The prizes of the 20th Ökofilmtour will be announced by the prize jury and the children’s and youth jury at the award ceremony on May 9, 2025 in Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam. Political economist, transformation and sustainability expert Maja Göpel is the patron of the Ökofilmtour 2025.

Since 2006, the Ökofilmtour has been presenting its curated program from January to April throughout Brandenburg as the Brandenburg Festival of Environmental and Nature Film. The long, medium-length and short films of all genres deal with global environmental protection and nature conservation as well as related, socially and regionally highly topical issues. Half of the films are aimed at children and young people. The participating locations put together their own selection of films. As part of the competition, the prize jury and a children’s and youth jury present numerous awards.
