To mark 10 years of Galway’s UNESCO designation as a City of Film/ Ceantar Scannán, we have given the dedicated Galway City of Film website a new look and we’ve added a whole new section – a dynamic visual historical archive!

Clifden Film Society has teamed up with Galway UNESCO Ceantar Scannán (Region of Film as Gaeilge) facilitated by Ardán, and with the support of Galway County Council, to celebrate Culture Night 2024 on September 20th with a shorts screening in The Lodge, McGrath’s, Clifden from 7.00pm!

We are working to digitise all of the Film West Magazines created and issued by Galway Film Centre between 1985 and 2001. This archive is a work in progress, and below is the first round of issues – 1-10 of 46 magazines.
