The concept of creative cultural entrepreneurship was the focus of the International Forum for Creative Cultural Entrepreneurship held on 30th November and 1st December 2020 in Skopje. The purpose of the Forum, which was organized by the Union of Macedonian Professional Associations in the Creative Industries – UMPAKI, was: promotion of creative entrepreneurship, education for creative entrepreneurship through interactive workshops, and networking of participants with opportunities for future partnerships.
Organizers say the Forum is expected to increase the interest of policy makers and other key stakeholders in investing more resources and investing in policies and funds that would encourage young people working in the cultural and creative industries to connect their resources and talents, and thus directly apply the model of creative entrepreneurship.
“This will directly affect and benefit the state in creating and harmonizing national strategies and action plans in the direction of culture and economy,” the organizers said. The forum was realized with the support of the Ministry of Culture.
