The UNESCO Cities of Film Łódź and Potsdam are pleased to announce and invite you to a joint series of events entitled: Female Landscape.

The flickering of the film projectors and the light of the spotlights on the stage will focus on women in the contemporary German and Polish film industry and their works.

The film screenings will be followed by a discussion with the filmmakers, which can be viewed simultaneously in the cinema of the Filmmuseum Potsdam and at the EC1 in Łódź. The directors Julia von Heinz with her film And Tomorrow the Entire World (D 2020) and Małgorzata Szumowska with Body (PL 2015) will be guests on 5 November in Łódź. On 19 November, the event is dedicated to female cinematographers and sheds light on their experiences and aspirations in the still male-dominated industry. Off Season (D 2019) by cinematographer Sabine Panossian and Woman on the Roof (PL 2022) by Ita Zbroniec-Zajt will be shown and followed by a panel discussion with the filmmakers in Potsdam.
