GREEN VISIONS POTSDAM Call for Short Films

Potsdam has a new film festival: GREEN VISIONS POTSDAM, the Film festival for sustainable Living, will be held from 30.05. till 02.06.2024 in UNESCO CITY OF FILM POTSDAM.

It’s a new kind of festival that combines film, science and a “market for sustainable living” to offer an international platform for discussion and excange on the protection of our planet. The festival aims to inform and entertain with films about the manifold effects of climate change that already affect us all on a daily basis.

Therefore we would like to include the international UNESCO Creative Cities Network by showing short films in an out-of- competition programm. It doesn’t matter if you are a profesionell filmmaker, a film student or new in filmmaking.

You can submitt SHORT FILMS:

  • all genre (fiction, animation, documentary, …)
  • max. length 15 min.
  • made in a UNESCO Creative City or made by filmmakers from the UCC
  • year of productions from 2022 till 2024
  • topic: sustainability, nature, environmental protection, climate change
  • dialogue book in english

Send us a screening link and information about the film (title, filmmakers, year, synopsis) to: creativecityoffilm@potsdam.de

The entries will be selected by Dieter Kosslick, who was running the Berlinale for years, and Lisa Nawrocki, Focal Point of UNESCO CITY OF FILM POTSDAM. We will let you know by the end of February, if your film made it into the festival programm.
